Frozen scenes, relaxing sounds from South Dakota's Spearfish Canyon

Joe Rainboth over at The Black Hills Travel blog, and an administrator on the Black Hills Facebook, regularly posts photos and videos from the area. This is a beautiful capture of the Roughlock Falls area and Spearfish Canyon.

The Black Hills are are a small, isolated mountain range which rises from the Great Plains in western South Dakota and extends into Wyoming. Because of its dark appearance from a distance as a result of the grouping of trees, the Lakota called the area "Paha Sapa," which translates as "Black Hills." It is a popular subject for photo enthusiasts.
