Native American Natural Foods to be featured on NPR's 'Morning Edition'

Charles Michael Ray, West River News producer at South Dakota Public Broadcasting, stopped by the Tanka Bar headquarters today to interview CEO Karlene Hunter and President Mark Tilsen for an upcoming story for National Public Radio (NPR).

Mr. Ray, who is from Rapid City, SD, grew up in the Black Hills. The upcoming story, which should air sometime in August, is a feature for a small business series for the "Morning Edition" show on NPR. The story will focus on the special difficulties small Native businesses are having securing capital in the current economy.
