Spring snow storm shuts down Tanka office for two days
While many of you may have been enjoying the sunshiny weather that usually comes with spring, we have been digging ourselves out of 24 inches of snow in Kyle, SD!

Of course I say that light-heartedly as I know many people across the country are also experiencing winter-like weather and we absolutely needed the moisture. Our office, however, was closed for the last two days. We were all snowed in and we had a late start this morning but got a snow plow out to shovel the driveway up to the building.

This is our parking lot today. As you can see by the lack of cars, we all parked on the side of the building that got plowed.

Yesterday I spent some time taking snapshots around the area I live. I didn't go far because it was definitely slick and the snow kept coming down. But I shot a few while I ventured out which you can see below.

This is my car. Not really meant for this kind of weather but I am from Texas!

The local Kyle Food Stop.

These are some of my friends -- Holly and Fat Puppy.

The snow was so perfect for snowballs and I really wanted a snowball fight. I've never had one before!

We are possibly going to get more snow but it shouldn't be anything like we received the last few days. It was beautiful, however I have to say here's to hopefully seeing some warmth stick around for longer than a few days!
