Tanka Healthy Tips
This is a collection of what seems to us to be good, solid tips for a healthy lifestyle. We will add to it on occasion, and if you have any good tips you'd like to add, please post them below in our comments section.

*Make sure to take short breaks in your work day when you can. Take a short walk at lunch or do some squats at your desk or lunges on the way to the restroom. Sure, you might look silly but who is going to laugh at you when you've started to get leaner. Cute photo of a proper squat: Baby Squat

*If you are a fan of sodas because you enjoy the fizz, try drinking club soda with lime or lemon instead. If you are looking for a touch of sweet, give your fizzy water a small splash of real pomegranate juice.

*Consider dropping the bun when eating at your favorite burger spot. Ask the waiter to wrap your patty in lettuce (protein style) instead, which not only reduces the calories, but helps you reduce gluten.

*Sitting for long periods of time can be inevitable with desk jobs, but try to create or build a standing desk option so you don't have to sit the entire day. Some studies have shown that sitting for several hours in a row is not healthy and is detrimental even if you exercise regularly.
